ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/TEAM

Strengthening CSO participation in Social Enterprise, Education and Development for Decent Work, Job Creation and SME Development, frequently referred to as “CSO SEED”, is a four-year project jointly funded by the European Union (75%) and the British Council (25%). It seeks to build a strong civil society capable of promoting social enterprise as a viable alternative to traditional livelihood models. The approach offers a sustainable and empowering way to support economic development. It is primarily implemented in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in Mindanao.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AND WHY

The purpose of Finance Manager, Strengthening Social Participation in Social Enterprise Education and Development for Decent Work, Job Creation and SME Development (CSO SEED) is to support the Project Manager in the oversight and administration of the financial systems, processes and budget of project for €1.3 Million Euro.

The Contract Finance Manger is responsible for the successful financial administration and finance-related activities of the EU-funded CSO SEED project, such as financial planning, financial reporting, and all other necessary tasks to ensure an efficient, secure and appropriately controlled financial environment in accordance with both EU requirements and British Council corporate standards, working directly with the Project Manager to ensure accurate and reliable information is reported. 

WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT IT

S/he is the primary owner of the financial records of the project, ensuring accurate periodic accounting and reporting, financial forecasting and planning, and client reporting.  Overall responsibility remains with the Project Manager.

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You should have a degree in Financial Management, Accounting or equivalent. Experience in project level financial accounting and contract management is essential as you will be working closely with donor agencies such as European Union.
