At the British Council, the health and safety of all our staff, customers, and the communities in which we operate is our top priority. We support and cooperate with all local government agencies to put all necessary measures in place to ensure the continued well-being of all with whom we engage in the course of our activities.
In the interest of public health and safety, all exams are suspended until further notice. Services will resume in accordance with local government advice.
Candidates affected by these changes may request to transfer to another test date without any additional fees, or file for a full refund. Please follow the procedures detailed on this page. We will also be in touch with candidates individually or through their endorsing partners regarding their test date transfers and refund procedures, as soon as we resume operations.
As this is a rapidly evolving situation, we are monitoring the situation very closely and will continue to take relevant measures in line with the advice of local government agencies in the days ahead. We are doing our best to keep all our stakeholders informed in a timely manner.
We encourage everyone to follow basic hygiene practices such as frequent handwashing with soap and water, wearing a mask if preferred and seeking medical attention if unwell.
If more information or assistance is required, please email our customer service representatives at For the latest information and resources on protection from the novel coronavirus, please go to the WHO website or the Department of Health.
We wish everyone well and are grateful for your understanding and cooperation during this time of uncertainty.
Kind regards
Pilar Aramayo-Prudencio
