The UK-Philippine Education Fair at Makati Shangri-La Hotel on 16-17 February will feature briefing sessions on the postgraduate degrees and short master class sessions around themes.
Date
Friday 16 February 2018 - 09:30 to Saturday 17 February 2018 - 18:00

In August 2016, British Council and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) have embarked on a partnership geared towards establishing lasting linkages between the UK and the Philippines. The 2-year project, Joint Development of Niche Programmes through Philippine-UK Linkages, brought together 10 UK and 10 Philippine higher education institutions together to develop exemplars of collaborative transnational education programmes in the form of joint, dual and double degrees on niche disciplines that are currently not available in the country. These Philippine-UK TNE postgraduate degrees, a total of 18, are now ready for offer in September 2018.

British Council and CHED together with its Philippine and UK higher education institutions are organising a series of marketing activities in 2018 to showcase and market the degrees, the commencement event of which will be the First UK-Philippine TNE Conference and UK-Philippine Education Fair, which will be held on 16-17 February 2018.

The First UK-Philippine TNE Conference on the 16 February (13.00-17.00) will convene key players in the higher education and industry sector to share insights, discuss opportunities for internationalisation and TNE in the Philippines.

The UK-Philippine Education Fair on 16-17 February will feature briefing sessions on the postgraduate degrees and short master class sessions around themes. Sessions aim to provide prospective students with a glimpse of the kind of topics and discussions that the postgraduate degrees will be covering. Booths showcasing the Philippine-UK postgraduate degrees will provide prospective students’ opportunities to further inquire about the programme details and enrolment eligibility requirements. The Philippine-UK Education Fair will be held 16-17 February from 9.30 to 18.00.

The Opening Ceremony of the UK-Philippine Education Fair is to be held 9.30-11.00, followed by an exhibition tour and a reception lunch at 12.00-13.00.
