Look of Style supports the next generation of fashion designers and enables opportunities for joint showcasing and knowledge exchange between British and Filipino designers.
The Look of Style is an annual fashion contest run by the leading Philippine fashion magazine LOOK, national newspaper The Inquirer and the British Council. The national competition offers opportunities to emerging Filipino designers to receive training and development in the fashion industry.
The entrants compete by submitting their portfolios along with three specially created looks on the theme of the competition. This year’s given theme, MARIA CLARA, will challenge finalists to create wearable clothes and accessories that reflect the new generation’s take on the Philippine national attire, showing its potential for mainstream fashion.
The overall winner receives a prize including professional training a trip to London to learn about the fashion sector in the UK.
