The application for the Art of Peace Fellowships is now closed. Fellows will be notified on 18 November 2019.

The Art of Peace Fellowship is an opportunity for local arts groups and artists to enhance their knowledge and skills in harnessing art, creativity and leadership for community engagement and peacebuilding in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Thirty successful applicants will undergo a 5-day immersive workshop focused on deepening their appreciation of the transformative power of arts and culture for peacebuilding, increasing skills in implementing local social action projects, as well as enhancing partnership building skills and confidence for intercultural dialogue.

After the workshop, participating artists / arts groups are expected to implement their arts-based social action projects (SAPs) that will run for an initial period of six months starting December 2019. In March 2020, they will be reconvened in an Art of Peace fellowship event for learning and sharing and to showcase their arts-based social action projects.
