The British Council is looking to partner with a local research team from a Philippine Higher Education Institution to co-deliver the Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship Research and Teaching Landscape Survey together with a UK lead researcher. The in-country research team will assist in the design of the survey and act as local lead researcher, closely supported by a UK lead researcher to map higher education institutions in the Philippines. The output will be part of a four-country research, which also includes Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
The primary aim of this study is to provide a meta-analysis of the current social innovation research and teaching landscape in the Philippines and then to propose a future agenda which will
- Provide a blueprint for future academic research of an applied nature
- Provide recommendations to strengthen the quality of the teaching of social innovation both for curricula and extra curricula programmes
- Set out a strategy to support more graduates to pursue career pathways that relate to social innovation
