In the Philippines, the British Council has been implementing the I am a Changemaker Social Enterprise Programme since 2009. The programme is dedicated to developing young people’s creativity while offering a space to exchange, foster thinking and collaboration about ground-breaking social innovation.

The typical programme lasts for six days, with the first four days being focused on trainings on understanding social issues, social enterprise models and business skills for social enterprise. The last two days are dedicated to mentoring sessions, closing in a pitching session. The top five participants get a seed funding from sponsors to run their social enterprises.
