For our second webinar, Drs Jopeth Ramis, Michael Angelo Promentilla and Devendra Saroj will share their experience as Newton Fund grantees and Newton Prize winners.

Dr Ramis is a DOST-Newton Agham PhD scholar while Drs Promentilla and Saroj are the 2019 Newton Prize Philippines awardees. 

The webinar will tackle:

  • how to approach an international institution
  •  sustainability of partnership
  • research proposal ideas
  • investing in a UK-Filipino partnership
  • international collaborations in a post-Covid-19 setting

Dr Manuel Dayrit of the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health and Prof Cameron Johnstone of the University of Strathclyde led the 5 June session with the aim of providing guidance on the standards of proposal writing for research grants to early-career researchers and potential applicants for the Newton Agham Programme.
