University of San Carlos

The University of San Carlos (USC) is a private Catholic University situated in the oldest city in the Philippines, Cebu City with a history that can be trace back to 1595 as a school; as a University since 1948. The Catholic Order, the Society of the Divine Word (SVD), administers USC. We have Four (4) Campuses located strategically in Cebu City : Downtown Campus, Talamban Campus, North Campus and South Campus. There are Seven (7) School in USC, namely: (1) School of Arts and Sciences, (2) School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Design, (3) School of Business and Economics, (4) School of Engineering, (5) School of Education, (6) School of Health Care Profession, and (7) School of Law and Governance. 

The University of San Carlos is an integrated school, offering programs from the basic education to post graduate, and comprehensive university with more than 140 undergraduate and graduate programs in its 7 schools (colleges). As a Catholic Institution of higher learning, USC does not only aim that its students and faculty strive for academic excellence but also sees to it that our programs are culturally authentic and morally grounded.

USC’s Strategic Direction is to become a research-intensive University in the next Ten (10) years. This move of the University is a clear demonstration of how it can best serve the entire country by producing new knowledge through research specially those researches that would have great impact in the development of peoples and society, business and economy. 

Over the years the University’s track record shows strength in different areas of Engineering, Arts and Sciences, Business and Accountancy, Pharmacy, Education and Law. The excellence of the University in these academic fields is validated and affirmed by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education by awarding the University with 12 centers of development (COD) and 8 centers of excellence (COE).

The University has existing active academic and other linkages with some 125 universities/schools/colleges and institutions in at least 26 countries around the world. International linkages and a steady influx of foreign students and visiting professors have made USC a multicultural academic community bonded by the common pursuit for global standards. 

Although the Internationalization agenda of the University has only recently been recognized, it has already forged partnership with foreign universities in the areas of teaching-learning, research and extension. These partnership agreements with several ASEAN, US, European and East Asian Universities led to an active and on-going collaborations and activities in joint researches and projects, exchange and visiting professorship and exchange and visiting students programs. 

Cardiff Metropolitan University

Cardiff Metropolitan University is an International University made up of five schools: Art and Design, Education, Health Science, Management and Sport. All schools specialize in courses that are career oriented and designed in conjunction with business and industry. Each school is heavily involved with research and enterprise activities in their fields and offer thriving study environment for students. The academic teams are at the forefront of their fields and are supported in developing their knowledge and skills through the University’s staff review and development scheme. 

Through work placement programs, links with professional bodies and the promotion of student entrepreneurship, the focus on employability has ensured 96% employment of graduates or further study within six months of graduation. 

Research is at the heart of Cardiff Met and its schools, engaging in research that is at the interface of new creation and its application. With excellent track record in applied research, supported by a strong base of expertise and advanced scholarship, the University’s research has direct application in business, industry, the professions and the community at large. With business orientation approach, it focuses on the needs of industry, commerce, public and voluntary sector organizations. Strong research and teaching base provide platform for development of a wide range of services relevant to many types of industries. 

Cardiff is a global university ranked as the top UK university for overall international student support six years in a row (International Student Barometer Survey). With over 12,000 students based on Cardiff, 1,200 are international students drawn from 140 countries; at present they have 19 TNE partners.

Coventry University

Coventry University (CU) located at Priory St, Coventry, United Kingdom, started as Coventry College of Design in 1843. Together with Lanchester College of Technology and Rugby College of Engineering Technology, the combined colleges became Lanchester Polytechnic in 1970. 

The name was changed to Coventry Polytechnic in 1987 and in 1992 became Coventry University, set up under UK Government Legislation.

CU has four (4) academic Faculties namely: 1) Faculty of Arts and Humanities, 2) Faculty of Business and Law, 3) Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing and Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Each Faculty has two or three subject specific Schools.

As a global University, Coventry University takes pride in welcoming more than 12,000 international students from 150 different countries with over 9000 taking undergraduate studies. CU has reclaimed its title of Top New University in the Complete University Guide 2018, is ranked 12th in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2018, is in the top 6 universities for student experience  (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018 and was voted Modern University of the Year for three consecutive years, 2014, 2015 and 2016 (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016)
