CENTRAL LUZON STATE UNIVERSITY
Central Luzon State University is a public university with a 658-hectare campus in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, 150 km north of Metro Manila. It is the lead agency of the Muñoz Science Community and the seat of the Regional Research and Development Center in Central Luzon. One of premier institutions of agriculture in Southeast Asia known for its breakthrough researches in aquaculture (pioneer in the sex reversal of tilapia), ruminants, crops, orchard, and water management; placed between the sixth and the twenty-first spot for the most academically-excellent university in the country for various years. It has six Centres of Excellence recognized by the Philippines Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) in the country, namely: Agriculture, Fisheries, Agricultural Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, and Teacher Education.
CLSU has more than 13,000 students handled by 416-strong faculty, 115 PhD holders, 195 with Masters and 106 with undergraduate degrees. Sixty two (62) are currently undertaking PhD and MS degree programmes on local and international scholarships. The Academic program offers 11 doctoral, 24 masteral, 2 diploma and 8 certificate programmes. It has 30 undergraduate programmes, 10 with Level IV reaccredited, 3 Level III reaccredited, and 5 clusters of programs granted Level IV reaccredited, while 4 clusters with Level III reaccredited – the most number of accredited programs among state colleges and universities in the country. CLSU is the first comprehensive state university to undergo institutional accreditation and recognized by the CHEd as National University of Agriculture and Fisheries (NUCAF). It has been placed numerous times in the 100 most significant schools in Asia, and declared Cultural Property of the Philippines with the code of PH-03-0027 due to its high historical, cultural, academical, and agricultural importance to the nation.
The academic and research delivering units are internally and externally funded in partnership with local and international students particularly under the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme of the university. The specialized research and development centers are: Freshwater Aquaculture Center; Philippine Carabao Center at CLSU; Small Ruminant Center; Ramon Magsaysay Center for Agricultural Resources and Environmental Studies; and Land and Water Resources Management Center. The Centers/Institutes undertaking researches in the academic program are: Information Systems Institute (ISI); Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (ISPEAR); Institute for Climate Change and Environmental Management; CLSU Testing and Evaluation Center; Center for Educational Research and Development Services; Center for Central Luzon Studies; Center for Tropical Mushroom Research and Development; and Regional Science Teaching Center III.

The University of Liverpool has The Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Food Systems (CESFS) with competent professors providing world-class interdisciplinary research and education to the public and private sectors. The CESFS focuses its researches and activities in various aspects of Climate Change (Adaptation to Extreme Weather Condition), Food Security Drivers (Cycles of Consistency, Socioeconomic Variables, Demographic Change, Cultural and Political Variables, Science and Technology, and Agricultural Management), and Food Security (Availability, Accessibility, Stability and Utilization).
