As one of the larger constituent universities of the University of the Philippines (UP) System, whose recently amended charter reaffirms its status as the national university, UPLB shares the century-long academic tradition of “honor and excellence” of UP. With students serving as “Iskolar ng Bayan para sa Bayan” (Scholar of the Country for the Country), the wider UPLB community has consistently pursued instruction, research, and public service initiatives in pursuit of strengthening inclusive economic and social growth in the country.
